Commissioned by Doug Peterson to design a fast and comfortable cruising boat, Hans Christian built this
HC-52 to maximize interior space and be an elegant and high performance “BLUE WATER” cruiser. She has 6 feet 4 inches of internal height and the highest quality joinery and joinery you will find on any comparable sailing yacht. She was designed with 2 private cabins and a third cabin for guests or crew.
The center cockpit layout allows maximum use of deck space, including the wide aft deck with (2)forward facing seating on the aft veranda and space for sunbeds on the spacious aft deck. There are wide side decks for easy back and forth movement and a large forward deck for handling anchors or cables.
This layout also allows for a spacious interior with good separation between the aft owner's cabin and the forward guest cabin. It also offers maximum privacy in the aft cabin, as it is separated from the saloon by the galley and aft gangway.
This boat has seen very little use, as evidenced by the few hours of use of the engine and generator.
It is a true BLUE WATER boat and is designed to be a fast and safe racing boat. Her hull shape was also developed for maximum performance in a cruising yacht.
